    What is advertising? Persuasion? Expression of a brand? How has advertising changed from the traditional idea of a print poster to the vast technological options we are faced with now? What common psychological techniques are used? Join us for a presentation by Tristen Click discussing these questions, and how they relate to graphic design examples

    About Tristen: Tristen Click loves to push the boundaries of graphic design by walking the line of experience designer and artist. She enlisted in the United States Coast Guard which took her to southern California. She is originally from Seattle and received her Bachelor’s Degree from San Diego State University. She earned her MFA in Graphic Design from Vermont College of Fine Arts: the title of her thesis was [Dis]embodied Senses. It explored sensory experiences and haptic interactions in relation to human connection. She has a diverse creative background from working with clients like the US Army, Google, commercial real estate, and sustainable energy companies. She currently works as a Visual Designer for Deloitte, focusing on translating complex information into easily digestible graphics in the emerging technologies space. She has been a guest lecturer and led workshops at colleges across the country and has presented research at multiple design conferences including the AIGA design conference and the SEGD academic summit. She is also an adjunct professor at Black River Technical College and an instructor at the School of Visual Concepts.
